Sarah Albee: Cook Not Cooked

Captain James Cook (1728 – 1779), the English explorer who mapped much of the Pacific, was stabbed to death by natives in Hawaii. Despite stories to the contrary, he was probably not eaten by cannibals, although his body may have been boiled to preserve it for the trip home.
